A doctor certificate is required. You can have a medical from your own doctor or we can arrange a medical here in Cyprus. The Divemaster internship is the biggest step you can take to become a PADI professional and for many divers, a life changing experience. How Long Is The Divemaster Internship
The Divemaster Internship is spread over a 6 month period and runs from April through to September. If you wish, you have the option to stay an extra month through October and this is a great way to gain more experience and also work towards your MSD (Master Scuba Diver) by doing a couple of Speciality courses.
What Does The Divemaster Internship Involve
The Divemaster course has many different modules to complete from dive theory to practical assessment and stamina test. As a Divemaster student, you will learn many different aspects of dive leadership, teaching skills, overcoming problems and how to organise dives in a safe and controlled manner. You will also be required to learn all 24 water skills and be able to demonstrate them successfully. To complete the course, divers must have 60 logged dives. As part of the Divemaster Internship, you will be gaining experience working in a fully operational dive centre. As a member of staff, you will also be required to partake in the many other duties that need to be carried out on a daily basis. These duties include, helping to clean the dive centre and vehicles, talking to customers, filling tanks, assembling equipment, assisting on dives and also assisting at the dive sites.
